We were originally founded in 1986 as "San Francisco Association of Residential Care Homes, Incorporated, A Non Profit Association(SFARCH, INC). In 2004, to reflect our broader-based influence and membership, we have just changed our name to "Association of Residential Care Homes" (ARCH). Now in 2007, we've reorganized and changed our name to CAL ARCH in an effort to extend our services throughout the State. We are strictly non-profit: no officers are paid a salary or compensated for their time managing the Association.
Our mission is to “Support Education and Cooperation in the Industry”. We are strictly NON PROFIT. The association does not charge a placement service charge fee to the person being placed or to the Care Home. All others charge up to 70% of the first months rent to the Care Homes. This cost must be made up by higher rates to the clients. By joining our association, it helps keep the cost of care down.
We ask for continued member participation. We are a State Licensed Vendor for the Board of Registered Nursing, Nursing Home Administrator Program, and Residential Care For the Elderly #1000705-740-1. If you want to continue learning in order to provide the best possible care for your residents, you have found your place with our Association.
